This course covers fundamental topics in applied statistics that meet the needs of students in business, administrative sciences, and economics. These topics are distributed across several chapters. The first chapter deals with the types of statistical data and the descriptive statistics associated with them, in addition to various probability distributions. The second chapter focuses on presenting the theoretical framework of statistical estimation theory, including point estimation and interval estimation. The third chapter focuses on explaining the theory of statistical hypothesis testing, where we elaborate on the importance of statistical tests in business, administration, and economics. We also address the types of statistical tests, such as single-sample tests and tests for differences between two samples.
