
The course consists of ten axes. The first one studies the industrial revolution by identifying its reasons, factors of its British birth, key developments and its influence on social economic and scientific domains. The second axe tackles The British Empire and Commonwealth. It traces the Commonwealth origins raging from the decline of British Empire to the establishment of the Commonwealth. The history of Irish Irland and its relation to UK are discussed in the third axe. Then, The British health system is studied by highlighting its origins, principles, reforms, and the provided health service. The axe five shades light on the interrelationship between sport and media. It traces the history of this relation in addition to the development of media and its role in each phase of development. After that, the course describes the relations of UK to the European Union by showing the UK’s views towards EU and both sides principles to establish their mutual relations. The seventh axe presents the British defence and foreign policies emphasising on the influence of unstable relation to Europe on these policies, the UK’s role in Europe and the world in addition to the British European partnership at the internal level. In the eighth axe, the course discusses the social classes and its effects on the working force in UK. The ninth axe exposes the British family changing factors and the influence of this change on the British society. The last axe highlights ethnic and religious status of British society. It shows the policies adapted in engaging immigrants in the society.
